TIGRA T. is a designer and DJ from The Hague area in the Netherlands for nearly twenty years. She definitely found the way doing it in her own style. Hip hop is a big inspiration for her. As a B-Girl she trained with the 010 BBoys. As a DJ she began to combine the funk samples with hip hop beats, old skool and new skool. She likes to make a total mash up of different styles, soul, funk, jazz, hiphop, dancehall and reggae. She has performed at different events and clubs like We B*Girls, Gimme a break, IBE, National Phonographic, Lowlands, Orange babies, Paard van Troje, Lichtfabriek and Nighttown. As a designer she works together with other artists forming the collective Topaze. Topaze is specialized in transforming locations/spaces, inside or outside, big or small.  Her designs are also used for lifestyle products and clothes. Lately the Topaze vision is used for urban renewal projects, schools and workshops. Tigra T. has made a lot of pieces, inspired and dedicated to hip hop such as, big canvas paintings, murals, inflatables, and stage designs. In 2004 she showed her passion by making a short documentary “We don’t stop” for the Black Soil Festival. The doc is like an open mic for different artists who are busy doing their own thing, all connected to hip hop. It was screened at Hutuz, one of the biggest international hip hop events in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. http://www.vanjatreffers.com/
